Meet Some of Our People

Kentaro Yamamoto

Research Scientist

Kentaro earned his B.Sc. from Kwansei Gakuin University in 2009 and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Tokyo in 2015 under the supervision of Professor Kazuo Takatsuka. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Fukui Institute for Fundamental Chemistry, Kyoto University. He established fundamental chemical mechanisms relevant to biochemical reactions such as photosynthesis and respiration. His research results provide insight into the coupled motions of electrons and protons in the fs = 10–15 s time scale.

Anand Shah

Product Lead, Quantum Machine Learning Group

Anand has interests in combining materials informatics with entrepreneurial methods and design thinking. He has a M.S. in Materials Science from Northwestern University and concentrated on the use of computational methods to discover new materials. He has a B.S. in Physics and a M.S. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Notre Dame. He interned at Cyber London Accelerator and helped develop go-to-market strategies for faculty research ranging from protein purification membranes to materials-design software.
